A good friend of mine recently lost her job and was thinking of a career change. She was working in food service and found her position to be dull and boring. I find her to be a bit strange, as she really loves blood. I suggested that she take a close look at becoming a Phlebotomist since they are professionals when it comes to dealing with blood. I think it would make an excellent job choice for her since she has no college degree.
Most hospitals and vets that are looking for a Phlebotomist lean towards hiring those with either experience or a certification, so I advised her to enroll in a course and get certified. It only takes a few months to complete and once she is finished, opportunities to enter the field would be excellent. Not only that, the Phlebotomy Technician salary is substantial as well, so she could be well paid for doing what she likes. I hope she follows through and takes the necessary steps to a new start in this profession.
